Park Tavern
Big Night Restaurant Group is looking for a passionate individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to become a part of a close knit, creative, kitchen management team.
Our ideal candidate possesses a strong leadership quality, with at least 3 years experience managing a kitchen in a fine dining, high volume restaurant.
The position will provide direct support to the Chef de Cuisine overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, cooking, production, inventory, quality control and sanitation according to the standards set by the CDC.
Tasks and Responsibility:
-Uphold standards at all time, maintaining superior attention to detail while working with speed and accuracy during period of high pressure and stress.
-Assist in the responsibility to select, train, supervise, develop, discipline and counsel employees in accordance with the restaurants policies and procedures.
-Must possess expertise of every station on the line and fill in when necessary.
-Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas.
-Assist with placing daily orders and manage large roster of purveyors and suppliers.
-Assist with cost control, inventory and weekly invoices.
-Expediting busy lunch, brunch and dinner services.
Requirements:
-Exacting palate and knowledge of local product and purveyors, as well as deep familiarity of the San Francisco food scene.
-Strong communication skills and a mild temperament are paramount.
-Flexible schedule is required, including nights and weekends.
-Food safety certificate.
-Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
